The 1967 4-4-2 was Oldsmobiles answer to the muscle car world. This was the Action Package for 1967 with performance built into it-inside it where it counts, as well as outside where it shows. On the outside, new raised louvers on the hood, a special grille, pencil paint stripping, 4-4-2 emblems. Wide Tread Red-Line F 70 x 14" tires mounted heavy duty wheels with extra-wide rims. Power-train action started with the 400 cubic-inch V/8. The 350 HP 4-4-2 Rocket V/8 had big easy-breathing manifolds and valves, oversize dual exhaust and versatile 4-barrel Quadrajet carburetor. The 4-4-2 Chassis included such special equipment as heavy-duty front and rear springs, shock absorbers and cornering, plus stabilizer bars. The results-exceptional handling and cornering, plus stable ride characteristics. The were several Transmission and rear end combination to TRANSFER the 4-4-2 POWER to the highway!!
