A RARE FIND !!

In the Movie "BULLITT", the chase scene certainly deserves its billing as one of the best in movie history! There's no camera tricks or special effects to screw it up, what you see is what you get. It just wouldn't be the same if one of today's big stars got in his BMW to chase another guy in a Porsche, complete with special effects. In short, 'Bullitt' uses real craftsmanship! And who could bring the character of Lt. Frank Bullitt to the movie better than Steve McQueen? No one! At the car chase beginning, the clicking music begins, all slow, following him, then the switch, they buckle up, music stronger, and we're off for a ride of your life!! It will be interesting to see how the movie " Eleanor" with all the special effects and the car will be viewed 40 years after the movie. We even built a nice 427 FE "Eleanor" about 5 years ago that sold for $175,000. Yes, it was a very nice! But I get a lot more excited about the BULLITT!! To me it is a BLAST from the PAST!! The late 1960's Muscle car era, when gas was less than 30 cents a gallon and a movie like "BULLITT" was the REAL DEAL!! Not a lot of smoke and mirrors. Today the Bullitt Mustang fastback and the Movie are as popular if not more than 40 years ago!! You need to watch BULLITT several times to understand everything that was going on in the film. Then you will realize why it is a "Classic"!! I have been a fan of the movie "BULLITT" and the "BULLITT" fastback mustang since the movie, the car and Steve McQueen first hit the big screen on Oct 17th 1968. The "BULLITT" Mustang is a GREAT LOOKING car from any angle!! It looks bad to the bone when it is speeding down the highway or it is just sitting in the parking lot!!

The new "BULLITT" Style American Racing Torq-Thrust D Wheels and new Firestone Indy 500 Radials put the FINAL TOUCH to this GORGEOUS "BULLITT"!! Beautifully detailed engine and trunk compartments. It runs out and handles great!! This 1968 "BULLITT" GT Fastback is a great buy and a VERY RARE FIND!! A 1968 BULLITT doesn't usually last very long on this web site! . You would have a very hard time finding a nice California GT S Code 390 4 Speed "BULLITT" like this one!! VERY FEW 1968 Mustang GT "S" Code 390 V/8 4 Speed Fastbacks survived like this one because they were rode hard and putup wet. Most of them were not this nice after the first 10 years racing up and down the the highways and drag strips. Veryfew were this nice after 20 years of everyday use, much less 40 years later! This GT "S" Code 390 RUNS OUT very strong and HANDLES GREAT!!! It is definitely a "COOL" and VERY "FAST" HIGHWAY BULLITT!! It would definitely be a GREAT BULLITT to use if the was a remake of the BULLITT" movie! It LOOKS FAST EVEN when it is PARKED!! Nice examples of the GT S Code Fastbacks and convertibles are becoming more difficult to find!! They are becoming MORE DESIRABLE EVERYDAY!! A 1968 S code 4 Speed "BULLITT" is the MOST DESIRABLE of ALL the 1968 GT's!!! This "BULLITT" defintely won't last long!!!.
