MARK lV Convertible
SOLD

Some FACTS, and a little HISTORY of the Austin Healey "Sprite"

The original Austin Healey Sprite Bugeye was built 1958. The small Austin Healey Sprite has been considered a fun to drive. It had unusual "Bugeye" headlight treatment. The original Bugeye didn't have exterior trunk opening. Instead, the access was through an opening behind the seats. There were also no outside door handles. After all, all Bugeyes were roadsters fitted with side curtains (no roll-up windows on these cars), and so opening the door simply meant reaching inside, over the top of the door, to access the inside door handle. Then came the Mark ll , the Mark lll and finally the Mark lV. For practical purposes the Austin-Healey Sprite Mark IV represents the final development of the line. This model was a true convertible, meaning that it had roll-up windows and a permanently and a exterior trunk opening. The Mark lV also had the larger 1275 cc engine.

This Gorgeous Red 1967 Austin Healey Sprite has had a beautiful new paint job. As mention about, the Mark IV is considered highest developed Austin Healey Sprite, It is a true Convertible with roll up windows, a larger engine (1275 cc). It has nice Dark Red interior. 4 speed. It has new brakes, new drums, new tires and a new Convertible top. It has the Full button down Tonneau. It is a lot of fun to drive!! It runs out and handles GREAT!!
