1968 Mustang GT Fastback "BULLITT". Gorgeous Factory Highland Green Paint, "S" Code 390 V/8, Factory 4 Speed, 9" Rear Axle. P/ Disc Brakes. New Black Deluxe Interior. A NICE EXAMPLE!
In the Movie "BULLITT", the chase scene certainly deserves its billing as one of the best in movie history! There's no camera tricks or special effects to screw it up, what you see is what you get. It just wouldn't be the same if one of today's big stars got in his BMW to chase another guy in a Porsche, complete with special effects. In short, 'Bullitt' uses real craftsmanship! And who could bring the character of Lt. Frank Bullitt to the movie better than Steve McQueen? No one! At the car chase beginning, the clicking music begins, all slow, following him, then the switch, they buckle up, music stronger, and we're off for a ride of your life!! It will be interesting to see how the movie " Eleanor" with all the special effects and the car will be viewed 40 years after the movie. We even built a nice 427 FE "Eleanor" about 7 years ago that sold for $175,000. Yes, it was a very nice! But I get a lot more excited about the BULLITT!! To me it is a BLAST from the PAST!! The late 1960's Muscle car era, when gas was less than 30 cents a gallon and a movie like "BULLITT" was the REAL DEAL!! Not a lot of smoke and mirrors. Today the 1968 Mustang GT Fastback "BULLITT" and the Movie are as popular if not more than 42 years ago!! You need to watch BULLITT several times to understand everything that was going on in the film. Then you will realize why it is a "Classic"!! I have been a fan of the movie "BULLITT" and the 1968 Mustang GT Fastback "BULLITT" since the movie, the car and Steve McQueen first hit the big screen on Oct 17th 1968. The "BULLITT" Mustang is a GREAT LOOKING car from any angle!! It looks bad to the bone when it is speeding down the highway or it is just sitting in the parking lot!!
This Gorgeous 1968 HIGHLAND GREEN Mustang GT Fastback "BULLITT" has just been completed!! It was built to look as close to the movie car as possible! To run out strong and sound like a "BULLITT" movie car!! Strong S Code 390 V/8! Beautifully detailed engine. The Toploader 4 Speed shifts out great!! 9" Rear Axle, 8,000 Tachometer, P/ Disc Brakes. Beautiful New Black Bucket Seat interior. Sports Deck Rear Seat. New Kenwood AM/FM/CD Stereo! New Black Leather "BULLITT" Steering Wheel, New BLACKED "BULLITT" GRILLE. New Chrome and Trim. It has the COOL "Blacked Out" Bullitt Touch's in the rear like the movie car! The new "BULLITT" Style American Racing Torq-Thrust D Wheels and new Indy 500 Radials put the FINAL TOUCH to this GORGEOUS "BULLITT"!! It sounds great with the new custom built great new exhaust system, A 1968 "BULLITT" like this doesn't usually last very long on this web site! . You would have a very hard time finding a built to detail "BULLITT" like this one!! This "BULLITT" RUNS OUT STRONG!!! Again it is definitely a "COOL" BULLITT!! It would be a GREAT "BULLITT" to use if there was a remake of the "BULLITT" movie! It LOOKS FAST EVEN when it is PARKED!! NICE EXAMPLE!! A RARE FIND!!
