This 1967 Shelby "Eleanor" GT 500 Replica has the "RIGHT STUFF"!! High Performance "Big Block" 427 FE V/8, Functional NOS with the Activator switch and the Go- Baby-Go Button on top of the shifter as seen in the movie. New Heavy Duty Tremec TKO 5-speed Transmission, New Custom ordered Currie 9" Posi Traction 3.25 gears with Heavy Duty 31 spline Axles. Custom built heavy duty aluminum driveshaft and heavy duty universal joints. No expense was spared to build the BEST EXAMPLE of the STAR CAR in "Gone in Sixty Seconds",to look EXACTLY like Eleanor, and to DUPLICATE the RUNNING, HANDLING and BRAKING that Hollywood did in the 40 minute chase scene when Nicolas Cage armed the NOS Activator switch and hit the Go- Baby-Go Button for the NOS!! One year was spent designing, engineering and building this solid California 1967 GT Big Block Fastback!! It was taken apart and down to the metal to begin this one of a kind project. The original sheet metal was used to build an Eleanor that would perform like it looked!! Our goal was to build the TOTAL PACKAGE to DELIVER "PERFORMANCE WITHOUT COMPROMISE" in this "Gone in Sixty Seconds" Eleanor!! It is a GORGEOUS car and the BEAUTIFUL Black Deluxe Interior is as nice as it gets. Everything is new. Even the Chrome Pieces around the fold down back seat are new. And most other builders are putting the original pieces back in the car after either cleaning them or painting them. There is a photo of the Certificate of Authenticity from Cinema Vehicles Services in North Hollywood , Ca., that states that this car Vin# 7R02S207174 was built with body panels from the original molds as the Eleanor in the Gone in 60 Seconds was built. There was no compromise when it came to the mechanical, electronic, fuel components, chassis and running gear!! And not only was it with the Running and Handling, but also with the "Top of the Line" Baer 4 Wheel Disc Brake System!! This car was definitely not built in 3 or 4 months like many of the cars that offered "For Sale" in the same price range. This is a "ONE of ONE" car, that you don't have to worry about someone pulling up next to you at the red light in one like it!! For Example: This Eleanor has the real Mach 1 Gas Lid on the side like the Movie Car, except this one actually opens and allows you to pump your fuel through the Mach 1 Gas Lid to the "Fuel Safe" Racing Cell!! Another BIG DIFFERENCE is many of the High End built cars "For Sale" are built with the wheels openings on the fender and quarters finished out SMOOTH unlike the movie car was. When you check the photos on this car you will see that the wheel opening were built correctly. Thousands of dollars was spent on the wiring of the car by using high quality wiring and by taking the extra time to do the wiring on this car as if it was an aircraft. It has all new wiring harnesses from front to rear. There were many other systems such as the PIAA lights and the many rolls of wire for the GPS and Alarm Systems that needed to be connected to the wiring harnesses. Most people take the short cut and crimp the wire connections. The connections were soldered and the wires were skrink wrapped when needed. This extra step of safety is time consuming and expensive. But it was worth it for this car and all the many systems work better also. This is just one example of the extra time taken and money spent to built this car and why it took a year full time and several professions to bring the dream car to a reality!! One of the very important persons that did the engineering and assembly is a mechanical and electrical Engineer. He was instrumental in ADVISING me to spend the extra money and take the extra time to take the project to the highest level !! Because when was done, the car speaks for it self and there is NO QUESTIONING the PRICE!! The following list of components is only a partial list that were used to build this Eleanor: Total Control (TCP) Heavy Duty 427 V/8 Aluminum Motor Mounts with polyurethane bushings. These mounts will handle the H.P!! Custom Heavy Duty Hydraulic Clutch, Pressure Plate and Flywheel by John Mustang in Ca., Lakewood "Scatter Shield" Bell Housing, Heavy Duty "Reverse Eye" rear springs, Total Control Heavy Duty TIG Welded Spring Plates w/Strap Hooks. Total Control (TCP) Coilover Spring Suspension and Power Rack & Pinion steering system with upper and lower fully adjustable control arms and Strut Rods, Complete Total Control Aluminum Strut Tower Brace including Monte Carlo Bar Extensions to the TCP Monte Carlo Bar with Stainless Steel Hardware. Flaming River Stainless Steel Tilt Steering Column. The engine photos show had well this system braces the engine compartment for the "EARTH SHAKING 427 V/8 to transfer major HORSE POWER to the rear end!! Ford Racing 90 Amp. Alternator, Compact and light weight KRC Power Steering Pump, Light weight / High Torque Starter ( If you check you will find that most builders on the high end cars don't step up and buy the BEST light weight Starter and the KRC P/ Steering Pump for their car. Even thought TCP recommends to use the KRC Pump with their Power Rack & Pinion steering system most choose the less expensive GM II pump. Little things like this makes the difference in a good and a GREAT CAR!! (TCP) Subframe connectors / X Cage. $2,500.00. Custom Built Ceramic JBA Headers , Aluminum side exhaust system, 200 MPH Speedometer. This car will probably do 200 + because of the combination of the 427 V/8, TKO 5 Speed and Currie 3.25 rear end!!! The first 3 gears are low enough to give you all the power you need for the first QUICK 100+ MPH and when you pass through the 4th and 5th gear and HIT the "Go- Baby-Go Button, the Heavy Duty Currie 3.25 is the right gear setup to take you as FAST as you have the NERVE and OPEN HIGHWAY to GO!!! 10,000 RPM Tach., 200 MPH Speedometer, PIAA Lights in front and PIAA backup lights, Classic Air Perfert Fit A/C. Functional Mach 1 Gas Cap / "Fuel Safe" Racing Cell, PS Engineering GT 40 Wheels Front 17x8 / Rear 17x9, Goodyear Eagle F1 Tires, Front 245 / 45 ZR 17 & Rear 275 / 40 ZR 17, Omega 2000 GPS system and sophisticated alarm system. All new Tinted Glass and stainless. The $2,500. Kenwood "Excelon" CD AM/FM Stereo system is the top of the line system that was professionally designed by "High-FI" Stereo!! Remote CD AM/FM control panel, speakers and tweeters in the kick panel, 7" X 10" speakers tastefully installed in the rear. All powered from the rear trunk mounted 1200 W Maximum powered Amp. There are lots of photos that show how the great sounding system was installed!! Yes it is a GREAT SOUND SYSTEM, but this "BIG BLOCK" 427 FE V/8 was not going to be out done by Kenwood!! The $2,500. JBA Custom Built Exhaust System for Eleanor is street legal and has an UNBELIEVABLE GREAT "EARTH SHAKING" SOUND!! When the engine fires up you will know this is the REAL DEAL!!! One last small thing that also sets this car apart from one is that it doesn't have the trunk lock in the rear above the Shelby Emblem. It has a inside cable release. You will notice in the photos how much nicer this looks than having a key lock!!!
