     The 1960 BUICK ELECTRA 225 CONVERTIBLE Buicks plushest, fanciest model was OUTSTANDING in 1960 with its broad ribbed lowered body bright trim panels!! The ELECTRA 225 had the POWERHOUSE HIGH PERFORMANCE 401 V/8 325 H.P. In 1960 Buick did a TEST at Daytona Beach Speedway. They ran 3 1/2 days (10,000 miles) at an average speed of 120.12 MPH!! At times the car hit speeds over 130 MPH!! Yes this car is a HIGHWAY CRUISER!! The 225 stood for it lenght of 225 inches!! This ELECTRA 225 CONVERTIBLE is LOADED!! Automatic, P/steering, P/Brakes, Wonderbar Radio, P/Windows, 6 Way P/Seat, P/ Antenna, P/Top, Speed Alert, Super Deluxe Wheelcovers. I have had some GOOD EXAMPLES. Any ELECTRA 225 CONVERTIBLE that is complete and restorable is RARE FIND nowdays!! BUT this this one is an EXCELLENT EXAMPLE!! My last 2 Electra 225's were good drivers, but nothing like this OUTSTANDING CAR!! Both of the other convertibles WENT FAST!! They both went overseas. Yes there is a price difference, but you would have a hard time finding a restorable 225 convertible or good driver to ungrade to this condition for the price of this one!! I am sure this one won't be on the site FOR SALE long either!! It will say SOLD SOON!! This was ALOT of AUTOMOBILE in 1960!! And they are MUCH MORE DESIRABLE TODAY!! Yes this EXCELLENT EXAMPLE is a VERY RARE FIND!! It is a GREAT INVESTMENT to DRIVE and ENJOY!! And yes you could BLOW people AWAY at some of your local cars with this one! At least you probably won't see any other 225 convertibles there. It is about as nice underneath as on top!
